15 Apr STEP ROCKETS – SHOW REVIEW
Step Rockets performed at Chicago’s Beat Kitchen this past Wednesday (4.13.16). The four piece pop-rockers are touring in support of their debut EP, Future Nature, which was released today via Harbour / Caroline Records.
The band’s energy was vibrating through the walls of the cozy Chicago concert venue. Step Rocket’s upbeat performance engaged and entertained the audience throughout their entire set. The groups indie rock sound was sure to impress fans of Panic at the Disco and Atlas Genius alike.
One of the strongest songs of the evening was “West Coast,” their first single off Future Nature. Step Rockets played a bunch of original tracks, but a nice surprise towards the end of their set was a Phil Collins cover of, “In the Air Tonight”. The group ended their set with their vibrant 2013 hit “Kisser”.
Step Rockets are ending their tour tomorrow night (4.16.16) at First Ave, a fitting location for the Minneapolis-based group. If you’re in the land o’ lakes go check ’em out.
